Senior Project Manager Location:
Chantilly, VA Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and grow a Water Resources practice, overseeing a diverse portfolio of projects across public and private sectors. This role combines technical expertise, team leadership, and client management to deliver high-quality water resources solutions. Responsibilities Lead and manage water resources projects, including stormwater management, floodplain analysis, and dam-related work Perform QA/QC on design documents, models, reports, and permit applications Review hydrologic and hydraulic models (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS) Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables across multiple assignments Manage and mentor project teams, including engineers and junior staff Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to secure approvals Support contract management, including proposals, billing, and client communications Contribute to process improvements and overall practice growth Requirements 10+ years of experience in water resources engineering Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field Professional Engineer (PE) license (VA required; multi-state preferred) Strong experience in stormwater, floodplain, and/or dam design and permitting Proficiency with H&H modeling tools (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, etc.) Proven experience managing projects, teams, and client relationships Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
