!! We are currently seeking a Pump Project Manager . Position Overview EMC is seeking a Project Manager to oversee pump repair, modification, and upgrade projects. The ideal candidate will coordinate all aspects of project execution—from technical evaluation and quoting through manufacturing, testing, and delivery—while serving as the primary liaison between EMC, our customers, and internal teams.
Job Description:
Manage all aspects of in-shop pump repair process including: Abide by all company safety & regulatory policies at all times Serve as the main point of contact for customer correspondence related to jobs you are managing Responsible for creating and managing job budget and schedule Review equipment specific Technical Manuals for repair considerations Generate pump repair quotations ("As-Found Condition Reports") and submit to customer for approval Generate "Production Plans" to guide floor personnel through the entire repair process based on technical evaluation and schedule Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency plans Ensure customer specifications are understood and incorporated appropriately within work instruction documents before work is started. Regularly update all necessary stakeholders on job status Coordinate with other Department/Project Managers when shared company resources are required to complete repairs Procure all job-related replacement parts and materials Attend internal twice weekly production meetings with key shop personnel (removed via zoom) Carry out on-time delivery of all associated tasks Maintain consistent accessibility to Department Manager/Shop personnel/Sales team/Customer at all times (off-hour access to phone and email is expected) Position includes company cell phone and Microsoft Surface tablet for job related use only Reports directly to the Pump Division Manager This position does not involve managing company personnel Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to interact professionally is mandatory Minimum 2 years working in mechanical manufacturing environment Familiar with manufacturing and machine shop environment Must be proficient with MS Word & Excel (will be assessed during interview process) Must be familiar with an industrial safety environment Experience with pumps preferred BS in Engineering or similar is preferred High mechanical aptitude is preferred Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings/technical data is required Possess a positive team player attitude and overall motivation to succeed
