The Project Coordinator will:
Hold regularly scheduled meetings with all RSVP partners and stakeholders (including PREP; the TANF program managers in the districts Departments of Social Services; and the local Workforce Investment Board) as well as the college's grant accountant, and will communicate with them individually as needed to keep the RSVP program on track and overcome any impediments to its progress. The Project Coordinator is also responsible for coordinating the RSVP program budget and its related purchasing and expenditures in compliance with grant, college and Commonwealth requirements. Conduct effective communication withVCCS RSVP
officials and personnel, subcontractor(s), as well as with internal and external college constituencies including college leadership, staff in the Workforce Development Department, Allied Health program advisory board members, regional employers, Regional Departments of Social Services and the Hampton Roads Workforce Council. Work with the Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness to implement the RSVP evaluation and work with the grant project team to correct any identified needs for improvement. Prepare and submit VCCS quarterly, annual, and close-out reports and any college-requested reporting; ensure the related budget reporting is prepared and submitted in a timely manner by the grant accountant. This is an internal posting for VPCC employees only. This position is a full-time, one-year temporary role that will serve from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. This is a full-time restricted classified position. Continuation of employment is based on funding availability. Special Assignments May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor. KSA's/Required Qualifications Experience in grant project coordination with responsibility for coordinating a project team of partners and stakeholders to achieve project goals; and experience coordinating a grant budget. Knowledge Understands grant funded project coordination principles. Understands collaboration and partnership principles. Understands budget tracking and coordination Skills Effective oral and written communication Strong Interpersonal skills Analytical skills Proficient in Microsoft 365. Proficient computer skills (e.g., spreadsheet, word, data entry, automated correspondence skills, etc.) Strong planning and organizational skills Ability to Analyze data and textual and verbal information to compile both data-driven and narrative reporting. Coordinate and track budgets and work with the College Grant Accountant to ensure all grant purchases are allowable, and funding is available. Handle confidential and sensitive information. Exercise creative problem-solving and demonstrate initiative. Prioritize multiple tasks, work within deadlines, and meet goals. Work well within a diverse and inclusive workplace culture Build collaborations with a broad range of individuals within multiple departments, including faculty, staff, and institutional leaders, as well as regional employers.
