Learn more at www.ampunited.com Position Summary The Project Manager is responsible for managing assigned projects from planning through closeout. This position owns project scope, schedule, cost, communication, documentation, forecasting support, customer coordination, and cross-functional execution. The Project Manager works with field leadership, operations, safety, quality, contracts, finance, procurement, logistics, and customers to ensure work is completed safely, correctly, on schedule, and in accordance with contract requirements. Essential DutiesResponsibilities Manage assigned projects, including scope, schedule, budget, labor planning, documentation, communication, and closeout. Review contract requirements, work specifications, drawings, schedules, estimates, and customer direction to support project execution. Coordinate with field leadership to align manpower, materials, equipment, access, inspections, and production priorities. Monitor project cost, labor hours, production progress, schedule status, risks, issues, and customer commitments. Maintain project forecasts, cost-to-complete inputs, schedule updates, action trackers, and project performance reporting. Communicate with customers, subcontractors, vendors, supervisors, support departments, and company leadership regarding project status and needs. Identify scope changes, delays, field impacts, quality issues, safety concerns, and contract risks, and elevate or resolve them as appropriate. Support procurement, subcontractor coordination, invoicing backup, change documentation, and customer-required reporting. Lead project meetings, document action items, follow up on commitments, and maintain organized project records. Drive project closeout, lessons learned, turnover documentation, and final administrative requirements. Required Knowledge, Skills,Abilities Strong working knowledge of project management, field execution, scheduling, cost tracking, labor planning, and project controls. Ability to manage scope, schedule, cost, risk, documentation, customer communication, and project priorities. Ability to read and interpret contracts, work specifications, drawings, schedules, estimates, and project documents. Ability to coordinate effectively with field leaders, customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal support departments. Ability to identify project risks, delays, cost impacts, scope changes, and resource issues before they affect performance. Ability to communicate clearly, document decisions, lead meetings, and follow up on action items. Ability to use Microsoft Office, Excel, email, document storage systems, schedules, reports, and project management tools. Ability to maintain accountability while supporting fast-moving field and customer requirements. Training, Security, EducationPhysical Requirements High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in business, construction management, engineering, project management, or related field preferred. Prior project management, project coordination, operations, shipyard, construction, industrial, or government contracting experience required. Experience managing project scope, schedule, cost, documentation, customer communication, and cross-functional coordination required. Ability to work in office, shipyard, pier, vessel, project, or industrial environments as required. Ability to work overtime, weekends, nights, or irregular schedules as required by project needs. Ability to travel or support multiple project locations when required. Applicable safety, access, system, security, or customer-required credentials must be obtained and maintained when required for assigned work.
