The Integrated Directional Sign Program (IDSP) is an umbrella program comprised of four unique sign types designed to guide motorists to various essential services, including businesses, attractions, tourist destinations, and other points of interest. The IDSP provides interested establishments a single point of contact to apply for signs along state-maintained highways.
Company Mission:
Through GIS technology, innovation, collaboration, and responsible stewardship, Directional Signing Program LLC will deliver a fully integrated directional signing program that is best-in-class among DOT's and will far exceed the expectations of all stakeholders. We are currently seeking a Project Manager with extensive experience working with government agencies, particularly Departments of Transportation (DOT), and a background in the highway construction industry. The ideal candidate will also have strong customer service skills and a proven track record in managing complex projects. This is a hands-on project coordination role that combines project management, customer communication, operational support, and day-to-day project execution. The selected candidate will manage multiple active projects simultaneously while helping guide projects through application, approval, scheduling, and implementation phases.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of project planning and execution for highway construction and directional sign installations. Coordinate with government agencies, particularly DOTs, to ensure compliance with all regulations and standards. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Lead project teams and ensure all project objectives are met on time and within budget. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, government officials, and team members. Monitor project progress and implement changes as needed to ensure successful project delivery. Prepare and present regular project status reports. Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle. Maintain high standards of quality and safety throughout all project phases.
Requirements:
Experience in project management, with a focus on highway construction or a similar industry. Proven experience working with government agencies, particularly Departments of Transportation. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong organizational and leadership abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Must be able to work full-time in our office. Reliable transportation to and from our Richmond, VA office.
