The opportunity Join Hitachi Energy at a moment where innovation, collaboration, and purpose come together to shape the future of power. As a Project Manager in our Transformer Business Unit, you will play a central role in delivering complex, high‑visibility projects that support the North American energy landscape. Reporting to the Director, Program Management Office—HUB North America, you will lead multiple, interrelated projects within the NAM Power Transformers Group. These projects are delivered in close partnership with a key strategic customer and executed across several Hitachi Energy factories, giving you exposure to a broad manufacturing network and diverse stakeholders. In this role, you will turn strategy into action—bringing structure to complexity, aligning teams around common goals, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will work cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, service, and legal teams, while acting as a trusted point of contact for customers. Along the way, you'll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, strengthen best practices, and grow your project management capabilities in a supportive, inclusive, and dynamic environment. If you are motivated by accountability, collaboration, and making a visible impact in a growing energy organization, this is an opportunity to build a meaningful and rewarding career. How you'll make an impact Lead cross‑functional project teams with clear structure, milestones, and goals. Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and financial performance. Serve as the primary customer contact and escalation point for project issues. Coordinate activities across factories, service teams, and external partners. Develop and maintain project plans covering scope, budget, schedule, and risk. Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks while sharing lessons learned. Support contract negotiations, change management, and claims resolution. Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Your background Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience. PMP certification preferred; ability to achieve Hitachi Energy PM certification within 2 years. Experience coordinating and leading remote, multi‑location teams. Proven success managing scope, cost, schedules, quality, and vendors. Authorization to work in the United States (no relocation or sponsorship). More about us Be part of a global organization advancing a more secure, sustainable energy future. Grow through structured learning, certification programs, and career development paths. Thrive in a collaborative culture grounded in safety, integrity, and continuous improvement.
