Job Description

Mountain Construction is a General Contractor in Tacoma, WA specializing in private-sector commercial construction. Mountain has successfully built our business over the last 46 years through repeat customers and word of mouth. We will always treat our customers fairly and with integrity. Much of our work is design-build and team-build. We are looking for an outstanding Project Manager. This person will be highly motivated, experienced, and have the interpersonal skills to become a valued, long-term part of our team. Experience in ground-up projects is required. Metal building, tilt-up, and wood framed construction experience is important, as is experience with TI's and interior buildouts. The position is based out of our offices in Lakewood, WA. You will be dealing directly with our customers, architects, engineers, superintendents, suppliers, subcontractors and building officials to take projects from the conceptual stage through finished construction.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Preliminary site visits and project definition
  • Take-offs and estimating
  • Project Scheduling
  • Bid management with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Identify and resolve problems with plans, schedules, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Build and maintain Mountain's relationships with our customers and suppliers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience in Commercial Construction Project Management
  • Construction estimating experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Bluebeam, Word, Excel, Project, Outlook
  • Construction Project Management software experience - AutoDesk Build preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet frequent deadlines
Compensation:
Highly competitive with full benefits and a 401k with a discretionary match. DOE Any successful candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana), and is willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations. A valid driver's license is required.
