Overview:
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Nuclear Project Manager I will manage small to medium capital projects, leading teams of 5-10 and overseeing planning, scheduling, execution, and closeout to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery. Will coordinate all project phases including budgeting, procurement, and stakeholder communication while resolving schedule risks and driving continuous improvement. Will support outage activities and ensure compliance with nuclear safety, industrial safety, and ALARA standards. Requires PMP certification, strong project management expertise, and proven experience managing complex projects in a commercial nuclear power plant environment. Manage small to medium capital projects, including planning, scheduling, execution, and closeout with minimal oversight Lead and direct project teams of 5-10 staff, ensuring alignment with project goals and priorities Oversee project execution to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards Develop and manage project budgets, including tracking costs and resolving variances Coordinate all aspects of project implementation, including work packages, procurement, resource planning, and execution Monitor project schedules, identify conflicts or delays, and implement corrective actions Interface regularly with clients, engineers, stakeholders, and senior management to ensure project progress and alignment Manage vendor relationships, including contract development and administration Prepare and deliver written and verbal project updates to stakeholders and leadership Maintain awareness of industry trends, technologies, and project management best practices Support outage activities, including refueling and forced outages, and OCC coordination as needed Ensure compliance with nuclear safety, industrial safety, and ALARA planning requirements Contribute to continuous improvement by evaluating project processes and recommending enhancements Support implementation of the Columbia Generating Station Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or related field with 14+ years of experience, OR Associate degree (AA/AS) with 16+ years of experience, OR High School Diploma/GED with 18+ years of experience in a technical field Advanced degree may substitute for up to 2 years of required experience Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) required Experience working in a commercial nuclear power plant environment required Proven experience managing complex projects, including online work management, refueling outages, or forced outages Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, and methodologies Experience with cost control, budgeting, and project performance tracking Familiarity with human performance improvement methods and error reduction techniques Demonstrated ability to lead teams and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders Experience with contract management and vendor coordination Knowledge of industrial safety, nuclear safety, and ALARA principles Strong communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership Work sponsorship is not available at this time.
