Shape the Future of Learning Environments We are seeking a Project Manager who is passionate about delivering meaningful, high-impact spaces, places that support communities for generations. In this role, you will lead complex, mid- to large-scale projects from Initial Planning through Project Closeout, guiding teams, building relationships, and ensuring design excellence translates into built reality. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and strategic leader with proven project management and team leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to build trust with clients, consultants, and stakeholders alike. They thrive at the intersection of design, technical execution, and client partnership, bringing both big-picture thinking and attention to detail throughout every phase of a project. Your Impact As a Project Manager, you will play a central role in delivering projects that make a lasting impact. You'll work closely with the Principal-in-Charge, and Design Principal to shape project outcomes, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of our education practice.
You will:
Lead multidisciplinary teams through all phases of design, documentation, and construction Champion thoughtful, high-performing design solutions that respond to the evolving needs of civic environments Guide projects strategically - balancing scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining design integrity Foster strong, collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders, consultants, and contractors Ensure clarity and alignment through effective communication, technical coordination, and decision-making Mentor and develop team members, helping elevate the next generation of designers Contribute to winning work, supporting proposals, interviews, and client engagement How You'll Lead In this role, you will: Direct projects from early visioning through construction administration and closeout, ensuring continuity of design intent and quality of construction Coordinate consultants and manage technical integration/coordination across multiple disciplines Lead project reviews and guide teams through complex problem-solving Facilitate communication between clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams, including coordination with federal, state, and local authorities as required. Navigate public-sector and federal agency project requirements, review processes, and stakeholder engagement to support successful project delivery. Deliver compelling presentations that clearly communicate ideas and solutions Oversee project planning, staffing, and execution to ensure successful outcomes Who You Are You are a collaborative and confident leader who brings clarity, empathy, and decisiveness to your work. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture from an accredited program, Architectural licensure required, Minimum of 10-12 years of professional architectural experience, Experience managing public projects, Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultants, vendors, and project teams, Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills, Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities, Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Position Preferences Educational experience, especially in Higher Education, PreK-12 education, Libraries and other environments for learning. Experience in facilitating public works projects and processes involving sound stewardship of public funds. Experience working with the U.S. Government Departments & Agencies, including knowledge of federal procurement requirements, contracting processes, and project delivery standards.
Familiar with Architectural software programs:
Revit, Sketchup, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign), MS Outlook, Excel, Word and Smartsheet. Salary Range This position offers $120,000 - $136,000 per year. New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint, however, we may go slightly higher based on experience and market.
