Project Coordinator 1 (11950) Vancouver, Washington - Added May 27th, 2026 Project Coordinator 1 (Construction/Capital Projects/Utilities) Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Project Coordinator for their Vancouver, Washington location. This full-time contract Project Coordinator 1 position provides administrative and project coordination support for engineering and project management teams overseeing capital improvement and customer interconnection projects. Responsibilities include coordinating documentation, procurement activities, project tracking, and cross-functional communication throughout the full project lifecycle—from initial requests and planning through design, construction, and project completion. The role supports a collaborative team environment focused on operational efficiency and successful project execution. This position is a one-year renewable contract that includes employee benefits!
Pay Rate:
$29.00/hr. - $33.00/hr. DOE.
Location:
Vancouver, WA.
On-Site:
Fully on-site, 5 days/week. Key Responsibilities of a
Project Coordinator:
Support project managers throughout the full project lifecycle by coordinating schedules, documentation, procurement activities, resource requests, project tracking, and stakeholder communication to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Facilitate project coordination activities including team communications, meeting scheduling, agenda preparation, meeting minutes, action item tracking, and follow-up. Monitor project schedules, milestones, resource commitments, risks, financial reviews, funding timelines, and project tracking tools; escalate concerns and support risk mitigation activities as needed. Maintain and organize project documentation, workspaces, reports, change logs, lessons learned, and status updates to ensure accurate and current project information is available to stakeholders. Coordinate project resources, materials, outages, work intake requests, and cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. Assist with planning and coordination of site visits, field activities, travel logistics, and related documentation. Support development of project plans, scope documents, statements of work, and other project-related materials in collaboration with project managers and engineering teams. Prepare reports, spreadsheets, visual aids, and other project deliverables to support project execution and decision-making. Provide administrative and operational support to project managers while assisting with project transitions, portfolio coordination, and process improvement initiatives. Work collaboratively with internal teams, customers, agencies, utilities, and other stakeholders in a professional and customer-focused manner. Provide project coordination support only and does not serve as the primary decision-maker for project scope, funding, scheduling, or overall project management responsibilities. Requirements/Qualification for a
Project Coordinator:
BA in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, or related field preferred. Requires 1+ years of related experience with an applicable degree, 3+ years with a non-related degree, or 5+ years without a degree. Experience supporting project coordination, project controls, process development, and execution activities. 2+ years: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and OneNote. 1+ years: MS Project and SharePoint for scheduling, document management, and data tracking.
