Position:
The Project Coordinator is responsible for fostering communication between the Company and sub-contractors while managing project costs for Farwest Steel's rebar contracts through accurate scheduling, timely contract modifications, and distributing submittals, and subcontracts.
Major Duties:
Manage the flow of information and provide change management on multiple projects. Coordinate the flow of information on active projects. Set up initial project files. Prepare change orders to the scope of work. Log submittals to and from the customer. Process submittal reviews; may include periodic drawing checks. Review incoming documents from the customer and evaluate for cost impact to contract and/or scope of work. Process orders for production team. Provide initial point of contact for customers. Assist support personnel with periodic project billings.
Preferred Qualifications include:
Knowledgeable in Project Scheduling and Reinforcing Steel Industry practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. A college degree or advanced courses in construction preferred. Computer skills and ability to learn job specific software programs. Accounting basics and principles are required. Must be organized and attentive to goals and deadlines. Ability to work successfully in high-pressure situations. Valid driver's license required.
