$119,000 to $132,500 DOE Job Summary The Generation Control Systems Project Manager is a key member of a 24/7 mission critical operations team and is responsible for support of Wind Plant control systems for a ~ 6,000MW renewable generation portfolio. The ideal candidate will have extensive working and institutional knowledge and understanding of complex SCADA control systems management of new build plants as well as managing improvements in control systems driven by best practices and changing business requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage wind energy SCADA projects during the engineering, procurement and construction phases through the transition to production to ensure that safety, quality; cost and schedule goals are met. Deliver all project management deliverables including development, scope, schedule, budget and governance. Work with technical and business staff to ensure all project deliverables meet requirements. Strong business acumen - ability to understand business fundamentals and implications of change. Extensive project management experience involving the management of multiple resources and successful delivery of SCADA systems for the purpose of Energy Generation. Develop, negotiate, and manage engineering and construction contracts, including clearly defining scope, schedule and cost management requirements. Facilitate effective feedback to internal and external resources to identify efficiencies and improvements in project quality, reliability, costs, schedule or other parameters that enhance Company's strategic initiatives. Willingness to be involved with detailed project delivery work at all levels. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ensures all relevant internal controls are followed and recommend new controls as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education and experience. As is relates to the job description, 5 years' experience in or around power plant and or Substation SCADA systems (the company may consider candidates with less experience at a lower level) 5 + years' experience in project management within energy, power, utility or related industries. A solid understanding of software development life cycle, including: requirements gathering, facilitating design sessions, process mapping, configuration, system and policy development, user acceptance testing, training, user support and change management. Proficiency using Microsoft Office; Primavera or MS Project scheduling tools; and, SAP cost management software. Experience with formal process engineering/design or process improvement methodology. Ability to qualify to NERC standards including successful 7 year background investigation and security review Preferred Qualifications Some understanding of NERC / CIP
standards 5+ years' experience in managing energy control center applications, projects, systems, and/or operations of energy facilities or equivalent. 3+ years' experience systems relating to NYISO, MISO, ERCOT, PEAK.
WECC, CAISO, PJM, BPA, or other system authorities. Experience with complex data center operations and management. Knowledge of electric utility design and operations standards.
