Customer Heroes Position Summary:
The Fire/Security Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end project management of commercial fire alarm and commercial security system installations and upgrades. This role partners closely with customers, general contractors, sales, technicians, and internal operations to deliver code-compliant systems on schedule, within budget, and to Guardian Security standards.Pay:
$70,000- $90,000 annually
Job Responsibilities:
Manage multiple commercial fire alarm and security system projects from kickoff through closeout, including fire alarm, access control, intrusion, video surveillance, and integrated life-safety systems. Review project scope, contracts, drawings, and requirements to ensure accurate planning, execution, and on-time delivery. Coordinate schedules, labor, materials, and installation timelines to meet customer and construction deadlines. Conduct site visits as needed to monitor progress, safety, workmanship, and inspection readiness. Maintain clear communication with customers, contractors, and internal teams; proactively resolve issues, scope changes, and scheduling impacts. Track project costs, labor, and progress; identify risks early and recommend corrective actions to protect schedules, margins, and customer satisfaction. Support pre-construction efforts with design review, takeoffs, estimating, and technical input; contribute to continuous improvement and best practices.Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role may provide day-to-day direction to technicians and/or lead technicians (assignment coordination, progress check-ins, quality expectations, and technical guidance). If direct reports are assigned, supervisory responsibilities will be carried out in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, and may include interviewing, hiring, training, planning/assigning work, coaching performance, and addressing employee concerns. Education and/orExperience:
High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical training or related degree is a plus. 4+ years of experience in fire alarm and/or electronic security systems installation, service, project coordination, or project management (commercial preferred). Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, resources, and budget; comfort working with contracts, drawings, and change management. Experience coordinating technicians and subcontractors; prior lead or supervisory experience preferred. Licenses/Certifications (preferred unless otherwise noted): NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level II or higher (strongly preferred) Washington (WA) 06 (Limited Energy) license or higher (preferred, as applicable to the role and assignments). Manufacturer certifications and/or industry credentials (e.g., access control, video, intrusion, networking) are a plus.Additional Requirements:
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; ability to travel locally to job sites in the Yakima area. Must be able to pass required background check and drug screening, as applicable.Benefits:
