Job Summary:
Valley Cabinet Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee cabinetry projects from site measurement through final completion. This role requires strong construction and cabinetry knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple projects while coordinating with contractors, designers, installers, and production teams to ensure projects stay accurate, on schedule, and aligned with client expectations.
Essential Functions:
Project Measurement & Layout Perform accurate on-site measurements and cabinet layouts for new construction and remodeling projects Review blueprints, cabinet plans, appliance specifications, and plumbing layouts to ensure proper fit and functionality Conduct on-site cabinet floor layouts with contractors to eliminate confusion and prevent project delays Document field changes and measurements directly on project blueprints and layouts Project Coordination & Communication Coordinate and maintain communication with contractors, subcontractors, designers, and internal teams Serve as a primary point of contact for project-related questions and problem-solving Monitor project progress and communicate scheduling updates to production and installation teams Partner closely with the Valley Cabinet design team to ensure projects meet customer expectations and installation requirements Problem Solving & Quality Control Identify and troubleshoot field issues including framing discrepancies, layout conflicts, and mechanical rough-in concerns Ensure project accuracy, functionality, and readiness before production and installation Maintain strong attention to detail throughout all phases of the project Relationship Management & Business Development Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and industry partners Assist in identifying and developing new business opportunities within the market Project Management & Organization Manage multiple active projects while maintaining organization, accuracy, and timelines Prioritize workload effectively and operate independently with minimal supervision Maintain clear documentation, communication, and follow-through throughout the life of each project Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of cabinet construction, installation, and/or layout planning Ability to read and interpret blueprints, cabinet plans, and construction documents Understanding of residential construction processes and job site coordination Strong math skills including fractions, geometry, measurements, and problem-solving Excellent verbal and written communication skills Accurate measuring and layout planning abilities Strong organizational and time management skills Comfortable using technology including Microsoft Office, email communication, and project management software Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Ability to troubleshoot and resolve job site issues effectively Ability to communicate professionally with contractors, clients, and internal teams Education & Experience 2-3 years of project management experience in residential construction, cabinetry, or a related field Experience with Cabinet Vision, CAD drafting, BuilderTrend, ProCore, or similar software is a plus Valid driver's license with a good driving record required
