This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, preparing accurate project estimates, managing projects from initial estimates through completion and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate has experience in commercial drywall construction, painting, strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Other job duties include but are not limited to: Estimating Review plans, specifications and bid documents Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing Identify project risks and opportunities Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed Track bids and follow-up with prospective clients Sales & Business Development Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, property managers, developers and building owners Identify and pursue new project opportunities Conduct client meetings and project presentations Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements Maintain a pipeline of prospective projects and customers Represent J&P Site Experts at networking events and trade shows Project Management Coordinate project schedules, materials and equipment Manage project budgets Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project Conduct jobsite visits to monitor progress, quality and safety Manage project closeout and final billing Qualifications 3+ years of experience in drywall estimating, project management, sales or a related construction role Strong knowledge of drywall systems, metal framing, insulation and finishing Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Organize and manage multiple projects Navigate active construction sites, including walking, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, stooping and traversing uneven terrain to conduct site visits, inspections, and meetings. Capable of wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, gloves, and steel-toe boots, for extended periods when on site Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including exposure to weather elements, dust, noise, and other conditions commonly found on active construction sites Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent communication, negotiation and organizational skills Demonstrated fluency in Spanish Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and, when needed, work on a ladder with overhead work Commitment to company values Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications 10+ experience in commercial construction Existing relationships within the construction industry
OSHA 30/OSHA 60
