July 2026 The Meros Center is a joint venture between Kingdom Workers and Wisconsin Lutheran College (WLC). Meros exists to proclaim the full ministry of Jesus through faith-based community health research and innovation. We are a research and training community for Christian health ministry organizations, researchers, and students. The Meros Center promises to be a community where relationships and research work together to create gospel-centered strategies that reflect the ministry of Jesus. We all have a part to play in showing God's love and each of us have been given gifts and abilities to act as the body of Christ in this world. The Meros Center provides access to relevant research, evaluation tools, training, and connections that are often difficult to find. Health ministry initiatives are empowered to innovate and improve outcomes while increasing credibility in the broader health community. Researchers, church leaders, and organization leaders receive training to implement and evaluate gospel-centered community health strategies both locally and globally. In this vibrant hub of networking and discovery, believers work together to holistically transform communities. Summary of Role The Project Director of the Meros Center will be responsible for coordinating the strategy implementation, project management, partnership collaboration, and global processes necessary for Meros to be a hub of discovery through research and training. The Project Director will guide collaborations with organizational partners across projects and support students and research scholars to complete high-quality projects (research and training), integrating faith and health. With support from the Executive Director, the Project Director will set annual goals and objectives as part of the overall strategic plan that align with building a Christian research and training ecosystem. The Project Director will help to ensure Meros is accountable to its holistic mission while ensuring the Great Commission remains the priority. Duties and Responsibilities Direct the Meros Center project (research and training) pipeline globally and coordinate project teams with associated partners and funding to achieve the mission of Meros. Direct and supervise the Meros Center research and training coordinators related to completing project deliverables. Ensure research findings translate into curriculum content and training materials, and that field learning experiences generate research questions and opportunities that feed the research pipeline. Coordinate with the Operations Director to manage spending and project costs. Coordinate with the regional network director and regional network coordinators to integrate regional research and training activities into the Meros Center ecosystem globally. Design curriculum content integrating Global South knowledge, available evidence, and Lutheran theology. Direct major multi-year grant submissions and manage the grants calendar with the Executive Director. Oversee program and process evaluation efforts, including the development and deployment of Meros Center tools across networks. Coordinate with field teams on site logistics, safety, and educational alignment to ensure field experiences meet expectations. Facilitate the Meros Center research team meetings. Coordinate communication between the Meros Center's research and training teams to inform external stakeholders and the Meros Board of Directors. Work with the research team to organize and facilitate Health Research Collective webinars and meetings. Mentor student research assistants and interns, including schedules, deliverables, and compensation levels. Support Community Health Ministry Practicum students. Cultivate academic engagement at WLC to identify student opportunities and faculty engagement priorities that align with Meros core project areas. Cultivate engagement with the KW's Mission Programs team to identify research and training opportunities that align with field priorities and Meros core project areas. Participate as a member of the Meros Center Strategy team to develop strategic objectives and spend plans. Pray for and advocate for the communities living in poverty and spiritually separated from God. Foster a Christ-centered culture for the organization. Actively uphold and maintain the Menter Center mission, vision, and values in all areas of service and work, including formal and informal meetings/gatherings. Promote and present the Meros Center at conferences, written media pieces, published materials, and speaking engagements. Education, Experience, and Characteristics Required Advanced education in public health, global health, epidemiology, research methods, or equivalent Experience with program management and leading others to complete high-quality deliverables Understanding of community-based research and application of research findings Experience working with faith-based community organizations A true passion for reaching and serving the lost, a commitment to discipleship of interns and partners, good stewardship, and creating a work environment that fosters open and honest two-way communication Proven ability to work cross-culturally and internationally while building relationships and working collaboratively with others Knowledge of research dissemination channels including peer-reviewed journals and academic conferences Excellent writing skills Strong interpersonal skills; analytical and strategic planning abilities; and experience in deploying human and financial resources towards key mission goals Skilled at teambuilding 3 years of demonstrated management with research coordination Preferred Advanced research-related terminal degree Ability to work well under pressure, reliably meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational skills Location and Travel Expectations Position is preferred to be on-site, but not required Ability to travel occasionally Ability to travel by road, air or other means as may be encountered in a developing country Ability to happily spend time and work in remote areas Valid passport, or ability to obtain one, required Valid driver's license required Other Conditions Frequently required to walk, sit, stand, and/or lift up to 30 pounds Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity Continually required to talk and hear Note:
