Job Description

Job Summary To be considered for this position, you must include a cover letter or a few sentences explaining why you would like to do this work and how your experience fits the requirements. The Project Manager will work closely with solar customers and our Regional Manager, installation teams and other Project Managers from initial site assessment, quoting, contracting, permitting, and installation to receiving utility approval to operate. They will make sure the correct materials are provided, crews are assigned/scheduled and provided instructions, the utility interconnection is made, the Focus on Energy Reward is paid, and the installation process is completed. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Provide site assessments, including setting up a ladder and taking roof measurements, measuring rafters/trusses in attics, collecting electrical and building details. Preparing proposals based company practices and pricing. Prepare permit, utility interconnection and Focus on Energy Reward paperwork. Assure all items and materials are ordered in a timely fashion. Manage scope, sub-contractors, permitting, etc. to ensure cost, time, quality and contract expectations are met. Issue change orders, as needed, when changes to cost, timing, or scope of work is made outside of projection and project contract allows; Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently; Work in collaboration with the Operations Manager to schedule project. May assist with materials procurement and logistics coordination, coordinating and scheduling building inspections and collections; Other duties as necessary to the projects' success. Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills) Passion to learn and grow in the solar industry. Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Astute time management, organizational, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. Computer savvy and experience with various types of industry-related software applications. Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently in collaboration with the install team, implementing site-specific project modifications. Ability to organize, utilize and motivate team members to successfully meet and/or exceed the project requirements. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Project Management or construction-related discipline. 2-5+ years of successful solar project management and/or construction experience. Knowledge of NEC Code requirements, Universal Building Codes and construction techniques. NABCEP or other solar pv training or experience.
