Full-time Overview of Job Duties:
Internal Operations and Owner Services:
Direct and coordinate the development and implementation of programs through appropriate supervision. Oversee facility projects, ensuring work is completed on time, on budget and adheres to scope of work. Participate in and supervise the development of community policies and related procedures. Conduct or arrange for staff meetings as appropriate to facilitate good communication flow and problem identification and resolution. Ensure staffing adequacy. Monitor and evaluate staff performance. Provide for staff educational opportunities, orientation, and ongoing in-service. Uphold the philosophies and objectives of the community Board of Directors and MMA. Display at all times a caring and professional attitude toward employees, owners, families and guests. Ensure overall employee and owner satisfaction. Monitor programs of health and safety for owners and employees.
Financial Management:
Participate in preparing, presenting and implementing effective operating budgets for the organization under the supervision and approval of MMA, the Chester Park Finance committee and Board of Directors (BOD). Assist and advise in necessary audits and accounting functions. Assist in providing acceptable financial reporting systems to accurately portray the economic position of the Community and to serve as a management tool. Generally, assist in controlling fiscal programs, ensuring a solid financial position.
Community Relations:
Participate in local community activities and organizations as appropriate. Maintain professional association affiliations and participate within association programs. Develop and implement communication processes to disseminate and obtain information throughout the local, professional, and industry communities. Respond to local community concerns and input.
Legal Conformity and Governmental Compliance:
Develop, implement and monitor programs to ensure compliance with all governmental operating guidelines. Obtain and keep current all necessary licenses, permits, and certificates as required. Ensure that all Community policies, procedures, and actions do not contradict operating regulations and federal, state or local laws. Participate in and respond to all governmental surveys and inspections.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business operations, management, finance or a related field. Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in retirement/senior living, program development, financial management, compliance or a related field. Prior supervisory experience in a similar setting including budgeting, operations and program development, performance management, discipline and management of staff. Customer service, team building and leadership skills. Valid driver's license and insurable by the designated carrier. The majority of your work is sedentary. Some walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and handling will be required. Occasional light lifting up to 20 lbs. may be necessary. This position requires some travel.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This position is full-time requiring a minimum average of forty (40) hours per week, on-site. Work hours shall remain flexible to meet the needs of the community, its programs, staff and operations. You will be on call, available for emergency contact, 24/7, or make appropriate arrangements for response in your absence or unavailability.
