We work with cities, counties, and public agencies across Southern California, delivering high‑quality and compliant infrastructure improvements. We're growing and looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support our project teams. Position Overview The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager and field teams in coordinating, tracking, and executing public works projects. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and ready to learn the operations of concrete and asphalt construction. Key Responsibilities Prepare, write, and track RFIs Assist with change order development, pricing, and documentation Track job costs, including labor, materials, and equipment Order and coordinate materials for ongoing projects Support project documentation, submittals, and compliance requirements Communicate with vendors, inspectors, and field personnel Help maintain project schedules and progress tracking Assist with closeout documents and punch list coordination Qualifications Experience in construction, engineering, or project coordination preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Basic understanding of public works processes is a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Office Willingness to learn concrete, asphalt, and ADA compliance requirements What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Growth opportunities within an expanding division Hands-on training in public works project management Supportive team environment with experienced leadership
