Great opportunity for supplemental income. We are looking for a dependable, outgoing, and customer-focused Self-Storage Assistant Manager / Guest Service Associate to join our team. This is a great part-time position for someone who enjoys helping customers, staying organized, and keeping a property clean, safe, and professionally managed. This position is 3-4 days per week , approximately 15 hours per week , with 5-hour shifts from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday through Wednesday . The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter with strong customer service, sales, marketing, and basic office skills. Attention to detail, reliability, and professionalism are essential. Key Responsibilities Greet current Customers daily. Provide excellent customer service to walk-in and telephone customers Help customers understand their storage needs and recommend appropriate storage solutions Show and rent storage units Sell tenant insurance, moving supplies, and packing materials Assist with sales, marketing, occupancy, and delinquency management Help keep the facility rented at optimal levels through approved advertising, promotions, and customer relations Collect payments, record revenue, manage the cash drawer, and assist with daily deposits Make welcome calls, collection calls, and other customer follow-up calls Document customer notes and account activity in the system Maintain tenant files and required documentation in a neat and organized manner Assist with delinquency control through phone calls, emails, letters, and scheduled follow-up Clean vacated units, hallways, office, restrooms, and grounds as needed Perform daily lock checks and visual property inspections Help maintain a clean, safe, secure, and welcoming facility Assist with minor maintenance and general property upkeep Open and close the office on time according to schedule Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as requested by management Assist with preparing units for auction or vacate procedures as directed by management and in accordance with applicable law Computer and Office Skills Required Candidate must be comfortable using desktop computers and tablets. Basic computer skills are required, including: Using facility management software Scanning documents Emailing and texting customers Word processing Entering customer notes and account information Managing electronic files and records Experience with self-storage software is a plus. Qualifications Prior self-storage experience preferred Customer service, retail sales, marketing, office, or telephone experience a plus Strong communication and people skills Good organizational skills Basic accounting or cash-handling experience preferred Ability to follow procedures and pay close attention to detail Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned duties Professional appearance and positive attitude Basic knowledge of self-storage industry laws is a plus Successful sales or marketing experience in self-storage, retail, or a related field is a plus Benefits 401(k) Sick time Schedule Part-time Approximately 15 hours per week Sunday through Wednesday 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM 3-4 days per week If you are reliable, friendly, detail-oriented, and looking for a great part-time opportunity, we would like to hear from you.
