Residential Real Estate Assistant Property Manager-Min 5 Years Experience and Appfolio Required

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our residential properties. Must have experience with Appfolio and either have or be willing to get a CA Real Estate License. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Single Family Home property management, customer service, and legal compliance, ensuring that our properties are well-maintained and that tenant relations are managed effectively. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of landlord-tenant laws and fair housing regulations. Must be a self starter and be able to be a Team Player as well as work independently. Duties Manage all aspects of residential property operations, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations. Strong phone skills and etiquette. Rockstar attitude and Team Player Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant laws. Utilize property management software such as Yardi or OneSite for data entry, filing, and customer relationship management. Conduct regular property inspections to assess maintenance needs and ensure high standards of living conditions. Handle tenant inquiries and complaints with effective conflict management strategies. Negotiate lease agreements and contracts while upselling property features to potential tenants. Oversee the leasing process from advertising vacancies to conducting showings and finalizing leases. Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, maintenance requests, and financial transactions using CMMS tools. Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure timely resolution of property issues. Provide exceptional customer service to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention. Requirements Proven experience in Residential Single Family Homes property management Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law and Section 8 housing regulations. Proficient in using property management softwares such as Appfolio ,Tenant Turner, Rentcheck, etc. Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on conflict resolution. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and filing processes. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills. Experience in facilities management is a plus. Administrative experience with an understanding of contracts related to property leasing.
