Residential Manager Aurora, CO $50,000 - $60,000 Per Year Full-Time | Leadership Position | On-Call Rotation Required Lead with Purpose. Build Stability. Change Lives. Smith Agency Inc. is seeking an experienced and compassionate Residential Manager to oversee one of our residential programs serving children or adults with developmental disabilities. We currently operate:

Position Summary The Residential Manager is responsible for the overall operation of an assigned residential program, including staff supervision, scheduling, compliance oversight, quality assurance, health and safety monitoring, documentation review, and ensuring exceptional care for individuals served. This position requires a leader who can balance regulatory compliance, employee development, family communication, and direct support responsibilities while maintaining a positive home environment. Essential ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Staff Management Train, coach, and supervise residential staff. Provide ongoing performance feedback, mentoring, and accountability. Conduct staff meetings and ensure required trainings are completed. Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing coverage. Perform orientation, performance evaluations and employee development. Foster a positive culture focused on teamwork, professionalism, and quality care. Program Oversight Ensure compliance with all agency policies, procedures, and applicable CDHS regulations. Monitor documentation for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Maintain program readiness for inspections, audits, and licensing reviews. Review incident reports and ensure appropriate follow-up. Support implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP) and program goals. Ensure quality standards are consistently maintained. Individual & Family Support Advocate for the individuals served and promote person-centered care. Coordinate medical appointments and healthcare needs. Participate in ISP, treatment, and interdisciplinary team meetings. Maintain positive communication with guardians, family members, case managers, and service providers. Support community integration, independence, and meaningful activities. Operations & Safety Maintain a safe, clean, and organized residential environment. Monitor household budgets, supplies, and program needs. Ensure transportation requirements are met. Respond to emergencies and participate in on-call rotation. Promote a culture of safety, respect, accountability, and compliance. QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or GED. Minimum two years of supervisory, management, or leadership experience. Minimum two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral support needs, residential services, or related human services programs. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to pass FBI background screening and drug screening. Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Residential program management experience. Knowledge of CDHS Volume 7, HCBS, and residential licensing requirements. Experience with staff supervision, scheduling, budgeting, and compliance oversight. Schedule Full-Time Primarily Monday-Friday Some evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Participation in on-call rotation required Why This Role Matters A strong Residential Manager creates the foundation for success within a residential program.
