Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Property Manager specializing in multifamily residential communities! In this energetic and vital role, you will support the property management team in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional resident experiences, and maintaining property standards. Your proactive approach and customer service skills will help foster a welcoming community environment while managing administrative tasks with precision. Responsibilities Assist in leasing activities, including property tours, applicant screening, and lease signings, with a focus on upselling available units and amenities Support rent collection processes, including data entry, filing of financial documents, and managing delinquency follow-ups Coordinate property maintenance requests by liaising with vendors and maintenance teams to ensure timely resolution and resident satisfaction Maintain accurate records using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite, including lease files, legal documents, and compliance paperwork Help enforce Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements, and other legal standards to ensure regulatory compliance Manage conflict resolution between residents or staff by applying effective conflict management strategies and negotiation skills Conduct regular property inspections to monitor cleanliness, safety standards, and overall property condition; assist with facilities management tasks as needed Requirements Prior experience in real estate administrative roles or property management support functions Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, and LIHTC compliance standards Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite; familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus Strong customer service orientation with excellent phone etiquette and relationship management skills Demonstrated ability to handle conflict professionally while maintaining positive resident relationships Office experience involving data entry, filing, contracts review, and legal administrative tasks Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent negotiation skills for lease renewals and upselling opportunities; experience in sales is advantageous Facilities management knowledge including basic property maintenance oversight and vendor coordination This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow within the multifamily property management industry. $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
