We are seeking a House Parent Supervisor to help lead this mission—someone who is calm under pressure, emotionally agile, and thrives on the meaningful challenge of supporting adolescents who think deeply, feel intensely, and demand both authenticity and accountability. This is not a traditional caregiving role. It's an opportunity to lead staff in modeling emotional intelligence, guiding personal growth, and helping shape a home where residents feel safe, seen, and understood.
Who You Are:
You are a natural leader—structured, calm, and compassionate. You are energized by meaningful work with complex youth and are unafraid to be fully present through their ups and downs. You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments, balancing emotional support with professional boundaries. You understand trauma-informed care and can meet young people where they are—emotionally, intellectually, and developmentally. You believe that intelligence and emotional well-being must grow together. You have the capacity to lead others who are equally driven to serve this population. You excel at diffusing and managing potentially volatile situations so that larger problems do not develop.
What You'll Do:
Supervise daily operations of a foster group home and lead a team of staff who provide direct care to high-intelligence teens. Build rapport with residents through engagement in activities like speech/debate, chess club, educational enrichment, and life skills programming. Manage crisis situations with calm, grounded leadership. Coordinate appointments for medical, court, extracurricular, and academic needs. Maintain compliance with individual case plans and documentation standards. Oversee staff schedules, reviews, and daily performance. Be on call for crisis support approximately 15 weeks per year.
Schedule & Compensation:
4 days per week + 2 overnight (sleeping) shift per week
Salary Range:
$60,000 to 65,000 annually
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Juvenile Justice, or a related field
PREFERRED
At least 2 year of experience working directly with at-risk youth in education, social work, residential care, or similar settings Strong interpersonal, leadership, computer and communication skills Trauma-informed mindset and high emotional regulation capacity Deep understanding of bonding and attachment and creating a healing environment for youth who have experienced trauma Valid driver's license and clean driving record Able to pass a Level II background check and drug screening Available for flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends Why Xavier House Unlimited? Here, you'll be part of a team that thinks deeply, feels deeply, and works intentionally to build a space where exceptional youth can thrive. This is work that asks for your whole self—your patience, presence, and passion—and offers in return a front-row seat to some of the most inspiring transformations you'll ever witness.
