POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Leasing is responsible for maximizing occupancy and revenue across the company's commercial real estate portfolio. This position oversees all leasing activities, including renewals of existing tenant leases, negotiating new leases, processing lease assignments, marketing available spaces, and securing qualified tenants. The Director of Leasing works closely with property management, construction, and ownership to ensure leasing objectives are achieved while maintaining strong tenant relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage the renewal process for the existing tenant portfolio, including negotiating lease extensions and amendments.
  • Develop and execute leasing strategies to maintain high occupancy rates and maximize property value.
  • Market vacant spaces through brokers, online platforms, and direct outreach.
  • Negotiate letters of intent, new leases, renewals, expansions, contractions, and lease assignments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing tenants, prospective tenants, and commercial real estate brokers.
  • Work with property management and construction teams to coordinate tenant improvements and occupancy schedules.
  • Monitor lease expiration schedules and proactively develop renewal strategies.
  • Analyze market conditions, rental rates, and competing properties to recommend pricing and leasing strategies.
  • Prepare leasing reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company leasing policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate leasing records and documentation.
