Job Description

Overview This part time position will provide oversight for the church's financial operations and property management while maintaining compliance with policies and regulations, providing effective maintenance and use of church property to support ministry activities. Your expertise will help sustain our mission-driven environment, fostering growth and stability for our congregation and staff alike. We are seeking a part time motivated professional with a passion for financial excellence and property stewardship to make a meaningful impact. Key Responsibilities Financial Management Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Assist in developing and monitoring the church budget Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and applicable regulations to include coordination of audit process Manage contributions tracking, member records and other sensitive documents with confidentiality Work with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations Property and Facilities Management Oversee maintenance, repair, and upkeep of church buildings and grounds Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers Ensure compliance with safety regulations and insurance requirements Oversee capital improvement projects as needed Administrative & Leadership Support Collaborate with church leadership, treasurer and finance committee Provide regular updates on financial and property matters Support long-term planning for financial sustainability and facility needs Maintain organized records of contracts, warranties, and property documentation Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field (preferred) 3+ years of experience in financial management and/or facilities management Experience in a church or nonprofit setting is a plus Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with accounting and other related software Personal Attributes Demonstrates integrity, discretion, and strong ethical standards Supports the mission and values of the church Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and leadership Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive
