The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management, administrative functions, and customer service, with a focus on compliance with housing regulations and lease administration. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team committed to providing exceptional living and working environments. The Assistant Property Manager will be instrumental in maintaining property standards, managing tenant relations, and ensuring operational efficiency. Duties Assist in managing day-to-day property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination. Support compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 housing programs, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other relevant legal requirements. Utilize property management software such as Yardi and OneSite to maintain accurate data entry, tenant records, and financial transactions. Handle customer inquiries via phone and email with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer relationship management skills. Assist in lease administration, including preparing contracts, processing applications, and conducting tenant screenings. Coordinate property maintenance requests and facilities management activities to ensure timely resolution of issues. Maintain organized filing systems for legal documents, contracts, and administrative records while adhering to confidentiality standards. Support conflict management efforts by mediating tenant concerns and facilitating positive resolutions. Contribute to upselling opportunities by promoting available units or additional services to prospective tenants. Participate in regular team meetings to discuss property performance, occupancy rates, and upcoming projects. Experience Proven experience in real estate administrative roles or property management support functions. Familiarity with LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing policies, Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law. Experience working with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite is highly desirable. Strong understanding of legal administrative procedures related to leases, contracts, and compliance documentation. Demonstrated ability to handle conflict resolution effectively within a customer service context. Office experience involving data entry, filing systems, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and general administrative tasks. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with a professional demeanor in dealing with tenants and vendors. Background in facilities management or property maintenance coordination is advantageous.
