Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Leasing Agent/Assistant Property Manager to join our vibrant property management team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents and current tenants, guiding them through leasing processes while ensuring exceptional customer service. You will assist in managing day-to-day property operations, maintaining compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and supporting administrative functions to ensure smooth property management operations. Responsibilities Greet prospective tenants, conduct property tours, and promote available units to maximize leasing opportunities through effective upselling techniques. Process rental applications, verify tenant information, and coordinate background checks using property management software such as Appfolio. Prepare and review lease agreements, contracts, and legal documents ensuring compliance with landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations. Manage tenant relations by addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts professionally, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Support property maintenance coordination by communicating with vendors, tracking work orders and ensuring timely resolution of issues. Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and property upkeep requirements. Experience Prior experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of landlord-tenant law, contracts, and legal administrative procedures related to residential properties. Proven customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and tact. Office experience involving data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and conflict resolution is essential.
