Job Description

Description:
The Residential Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a group home serving adults with developmental disabilities (IDD/DD). This role ensures compliance with DBHDD standards , supervises Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), and promotes a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise, coach, and develop DSP staff to ensure quality care Ensure implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and person-centered practices Maintain compliance with DBHDD, DHS, and organizational policies Oversee staff schedules, staffing coverage, and daily operations Monitor medication administration and health-related supports Ensure proper documentation, incident reporting, and data tracking Participate in ISP, IDT, and other interdisciplinary team meetings Support individuals with community integration and meaningful activities Utilize approved de-escalation and behavioral support techniques Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive residential environment
Requirements:
Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required (Bachelor's preferred in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or related field) 2+ years' experience in developmental disabilities, group home, or direct care 1+ year of supervisory or leadership experience preferred Knowledge of person-centered care and ISP processes Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills CPR / First Aid Medication Administration De-escalation / Behavioral Intervention Training Must be 21 years or older Valid Driver's License with acceptable MVR Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and TB test Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Reliable transportation
