Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the community, including leasing, maintenance, and resident relations.
- Conduct property tours and effectively communicate the features and benefits of the community to prospective residents.
- Process applications, conduct background checks, and prepare lease agreements.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including Section 8 housing requirements.
- Handle resident inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Coordinate and oversee property maintenance and repairs.
- Implement marketing strategies to attract new residents and retain existing ones.
- Utilize property management software such as ResMan or Yardi to track leasing activities, resident information, and maintenance requests.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including rent collection and expense tracking.
- Foster positive relationships with residents through effective communication and customer relationship management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in property management or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of property leasing procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with Section 8 housing requirements is a plus.
- Strong conflict management skills to effectively handle resident disputes or difficult situations.
- Basic understanding of property maintenance principles and practices.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing rental properties.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective communication with residents, prospects, and vendors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Experience using property management software such as ResMan or Yardi is highly desirable.
