Housing Manager 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars Twin Falls, ID 83303 College of Southern Idaho 52 reviews The Housing Manager is responsible for the overall daily operations of two residential apartment communities, Northview Apartments (42 units) and Eagle View Apartments (40 units) . This position ensures efficient property operations, resident satisfaction, regulatory compliance, financial accuracy, and creating a student sense of belonging. The Housing Manager serves as primary contact for residents and is required to be available for on-call duties, including occasional evenings and weekends. Property Operations Oversee the daily operations of both apartment communities to ensure safe, clean, and well-maintained housing. Ensure compliance with applicable housing regulations, policies, and procedures. Serve as the on-site/on-call representative for housing-related issues, including emergencies. Resident Relations & Occupancy Coordinate and manage move-ins and move-outs , including unit inspections, paperwork, and resident orientation. Maintain positive relationships with residents by addressing concerns, enforcing community rules, and resolving conflicts in a professional manner. Ensure timely and accurate documentation related to occupancy and resident records. Billing & Financial Administration Manage rent billing, late notices, payment tracking, and coordination with accounting or finance departments. Ensure accuracy in resident charges, deposits, and move-out reconciliations. Monitor occupancy levels and report trends or issues to leadership as needed. Maintenance & Facilities Oversight Supervise the Maintenance Craftsman , including task assignment, performance oversight, and coordination of repair schedules. Work closely with maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of work orders and unit turnovers. Conduct routine inspections of units and common areas to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns. Coordinate outside vendors or contractors as required. Staff Supervision Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and support for maintenance staff. Assist with training, scheduling, and performance feedback. Promote a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment. On-Call & After-Hours Support Participate in an on-call rotation , responding to emergencies or urgent issues. Be available for occasional late nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of residential property management operations and resident relations. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple properties. Ability to supervise staff and coordinate maintenance activities effectively. Proficiency in basic billing, recordkeeping, and administrative processes. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and professionally. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in housing or property management. Experience supervising maintenance or facilities staff. Familiarity with housing regulations and compliance requirements. Basic computer skills, including property management or accounting systems. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Combination of office and on-site property work. May require walking properties, climbing stairs, and inspecting units. Occasional after-hours and weekend work required.
