Job Description

Youth Residential Supervisor UCP Seguin of Greater Chicago is seeking a motivated and experienced Youth Residential Supervisor to lead operations within therapeutic youth group homes. This role ensures a safe, structured, and supportive residential environment while promoting independence, life skills, and community integration for youth in care. Key Responsibilities Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) Maintain a consistent leadership presence in assigned residential homes Ensure implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and behavior supports Monitor compliance, documentation, and data collection requirements Support crisis response, safety practices, and youth well‑being Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and agency leadership Required Qualifications Must be at least 25 years of age At least 1 years of full‑time experience in a residential childcare program Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related human services field OR 5 years of supervised experience in a congregate care setting Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Supervisory experience preferred Valid Illinois Driver's License with proof of insurance Ability to obtain or maintain First Aid, CPR, Safety Cares, and medication administration certifications Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to provide physical assistance and interventions when necessary Schedule & Position Details Salaried, full‑time position Flexible schedule including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts Extended work hours and occasional Saturdays may be required to support agency programming and home visits On‑call availability as needed
