We are looking for a highly motivated, customer-focused Assistant Property Manager to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of public housing in our city. The Role As Assistant Property Manager, you will be the heartbeat of our residential communities. Working closely with the Property Manager, you will handle daily operations—from leasing and resident certifications to coordinating maintenance and fostering a safe, welcoming environment. You'll get to be the go-to problem solver, helping families thrive and ensuring our properties are in top-notch condition.
What You'll Do Build Relationships:
Act as the face of the Housing Authority, touring new residents, answering questions, and connecting families to ESLHA programs.
Solve Problems:
Hear and resolve tenant conflicts and maintenance requests, ensuring all resident concerns are handled quickly and with empathy.
Oversee Operations:
Assist with leasing, rent collection, and annual unit inspections to keep properties financially healthy and physically vibrant.
Drive Compliance:
Maintain accurate records for HUD guidelines and rent calculations.
What You Bring Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in subsidized housing management or administration. Drive to
Learn:
A high school diploma or GED (college/business school preferred). Must be willing to obtain Public Housing Rent Calculation and Public Housing Manager certifications within your first 12 months (we support your growth!).
People Skills:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to relate well to diverse groups of people.
Tech Savviness:
