Our wonderful residents make Good Shepherd Manor their home for many years and enjoy living on our picturesque 60-acre site that includes 12 modern group homes located 45 minutes south of Chicago just north of Momence, Illinois.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The RSD provides leadership and direction to the care workers/direct support professionals for the improvement of resident care including the daily supervision and assignment of staff, the training of staff, communicating with staff to assure the care of the resident is completed and agency information is conveyed, and serves as a resource to staff. You'll report to the Director of Clinical and Residential Services, but our structure is a team environment with a friendly, open-door policy where you will work closely with the other RSD's, QIDP's, management, Human Resources and Nursing. This position is for the midnight shift from 10 pm to 6 am. Along with rotating weekends. This is an hourly, non-exempt position eligible for overtime. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU WILL USE AND DEVELOP

This leadership position helps you develop the ability to use the resources at your disposable to efficiently serve the residents through scheduling and mobilization of resources based on events. The ability to think on your feet and make thoughtful decisions is necessary as well as an enjoyment in helping staff members achieve their potential and develop their skills. REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of high school diploma or GED required. You also must have a valid driver's license. One-year full-time experience in a clinical position in a residential setting, sheltered workshop, or work activity program for the developmentally disabled as a care worker, direct support professional, or supervisor is a mandatory requirement to be considered for this opportunity. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
