Residential Coordinator:
Full-Time Hephzibah Children's Association - 3.8 Oak Park, IL Job Details Full-time 9 hours ago Qualifications Staff supervision Management Working with individuals with disabilities Professional ethics Social service program staff supervision Driver's License Working with children Working with children with disabilities Full Job Description Position is available for a full-time Residential Coordinator to serve as frontline program leaders who will be responsible for staff supervision, milieu management, and the consistent delivery of high-quality care across both residential units. This role oversees Residential Supervisors and Residential Counselors while maintaining accountability for daily program operations, youth care, staff performance, and overall program safety. Responsibilities are carried out in accordance with agency mission and values, DCFS Licensing Standards, Medicaid requirements, and Council on Accreditation (COA) standards.
Requirements include:
Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field required, or at least five years of experience in a child welfare services position, including a minimum of two years of supervisory experience. Experience working with special needs children required. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership and organizational skills, ability to work independently, and ability to work effectively with staff, children, parents, volunteers, oversight agencies and the public. Requires continual attention to detail, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines, ability to work well under pressure, and ability to manage multiple tasks and demands. Requires good judgment and decision-making skills and high ethical standards. Must be willing to work flexible hours and be available for emergencies. Must hold a valid Illinois driver's license and must pass the DCFS background check clearance.
