Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Leasing Specialist and become the driving force behind connecting prospective residents with their ideal homes! In this energetic role, you will manage leasing processes, foster positive relationships with applicants, and ensure compliance with housing regulations. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create a welcoming environment that encourages trust and satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your sales, administrative, and property management skills while making a tangible difference in residents' lives. Duties Engage with prospective tenants through phone calls, emails, and in-person visits to promote available properties and lease opportunities. Conduct property tours, highlighting features and benefits to generate interest and secure lease agreements. Manage leasing documentation, including contracts, legal forms, and application files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Fair Housing regulations. Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure properties are ready for occupancy and address any issues promptly. Negotiate lease terms, rental rates, and contract conditions while upholding company policies and legal standards. Support rent collection and assist with delinquency management. Stay informed about Section 8 housing programs, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other affordable housing initiatives to assist diverse applicant needs effectively. Uphold conflict management protocols to resolve applicant concerns professionally and efficiently. Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, phone etiquette, and customer relationship management to streamline operations. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements Proven experience in property leasing or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of landlord-tenant law. Familiarity with LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing regulations, Fair Housing laws, and legal contract procedures. Excellent customer service skills combined with effective negotiation abilities to upsell properties while maintaining compliance standards. Strong organizational skills for data entry, filing, and managing multiple leasing files simultaneously. Office experience with professional phone etiquette and conflict resolution capabilities. Knowledge of facilities management principles related to property maintenance and tenant needs. Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining high levels of accuracy in data entry and record keeping. Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office. Training Annual attendance at Fair Housing, Section 42, and leasing training courses. Participation in ongoing professional development opportunities.
