Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Property Manager specializing in multifamily residential communities! In this energetic and vital role, you will support the property management team in delivering exceptional service, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering positive relationships with residents and vendors alike. Your proactive approach will help maintain property value, ensure compliance with housing regulations, and create a welcoming environment for all residents. Responsibilities Assist in managing day-to-day property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and resident relations. Support lease administration processes, including lease signing, renewals, and move-in/move-out procedures. Maintain accurate records using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite; handle data entry, filing, and administrative documentation. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other legal requirements. Coordinate property maintenance requests with facilities management teams and oversee vendor relationships to ensure timely repairs. Conduct regular property inspections to uphold safety standards and identify maintenance needs; assist with facilities management tasks. Handle conflict resolution professionally, employing strong conflict management skills to address resident concerns effectively. Support marketing efforts through upselling amenities or available units to prospective tenants while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Assist in preparing contracts, legal documents, and lease agreements; understand landlord-tenant law thoroughly. Provide exceptional customer service via phone etiquette and face-to-face interactions to foster positive resident relationships. Manage leasing activities for Section 8 and other subsidized housing programs; ensure all documentation complies with program requirements. Experience Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles, preferably within multifamily communities. Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite is highly desirable. Knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing regulations, Fair Housing laws, and landlord-tenant law is essential. Strong background in legal administrative processes related to leasing, contracts, and compliance documentation. Demonstrated ability to handle conflict management situations professionally while maintaining positive relationships. Excellent customer service skills combined with effective negotiation abilities for upselling opportunities. Office experience including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and general administrative tasks is required. Experience in facilities management or property maintenance coordination is a plus. Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
