  • Part-time Job Summary The Lead Community Navigator serves as the senior operational and client services leader of The Link, overseeing daily operations, community navigation services, administrative systems, outreach initiatives, and peer support programming.
This position ensures efficient organizational management while directly supporting vulnerable individuals and families through advocacy, crisis response, resource coordination, and evidence-based service delivery. The Lead Community Navigator works closely with executive leadership to strengthen organizational capacity, expand partnerships, and maintain high-quality programming. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Operations Manage the daily operations of The Link and ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment. Develop, implement, and update organizational policies, procedures, and service programs. Supervise front desk operations, client intake processes, coffee shop/common areas, and service environments. Maintain office systems, inventory, supplies, forms, records, and data management processes. Coordinate volunteers, staff scheduling, appointments, and internal workflows. Train, mentor, and support new employees, peer staff, and volunteers. Monitor agency operations and facilities to ensure standards, compliance, and quality expectations are met. Client Services & Community Navigation Provide direct support to clients through assessments, crisis intervention, advocacy, and referrals. Maintain active caseloads and coordinate care with clients, families, and community partners. Implement evidence-based practices in engagement, assessment, and service planning. Coordinate family advocacy initiatives and individualized support plans. Identify unmet needs and barriers impacting vulnerable populations. Maintain service areas such as clothing closets, food access points, and emergency support resources. Outreach & Community Engagement Develop and manage community outreach initiatives that increase awareness and access to services. Promote The Link's programs in churches, schools, businesses, and community settings. Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with agencies, nonprofits, faith communities, and public systems. Educate the public regarding social issues, recovery supports, and available community resources. Research emerging community needs and develop responsive programming. Administrative & Financial Oversight Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning. Support grant identification, proposal development, reporting, and fundraising initiatives. Oversee contract compliance, billing support, documentation systems, and reporting processes. Monitor expenses and purchasing in alignment with approved budgets. Prepare presentations, reports, briefings, and performance updates for leadership and stakeholders. Peer Support & Recovery Services Coordinate peer support groups, mentoring activities, and recovery coaching services. Conduct one-on-one mentoring and motivational support sessions with clients. Schedule and promote peer meetings and recovery programming. Ensure peer support services are consistent, welcoming, and recovery-oriented. Quality Improvement Evaluate current programs and recommend improvements to strengthen outcomes. Track performance data and service trends to improve efficiency and impact. Lead continuous improvement efforts across all departments and service areas. Qualifications Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Experience in human services, nonprofit management, behavioral health, recovery support, or community outreach. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining compassionate client-centered care. Knowledge of crisis intervention, case management, and community resource systems preferred.
