This includes the supervision of Direct Care Tech staff who serve clients 24 hours a day/7 days a week. The Manager of this department works closely with the Maintenance Department, Food Services Department and Transportation Services to maintain a smooth operation of the Residential Housing Facilities. This position gives reports to the Clinical Director and consults frequently with the Executive Director and Assistant Director regarding the needs of the Residential Housing Services department, our facilities and the residential life of all clients at O'Brien House. Education/Experience Minimum Requirements The Manager must have a High School Diploma or GED or relevant work experience in residential rehabilitation. The individual must have an understanding of alcoholism, addiction and recovery. Management and social skills are needed for employee interaction and client assistance. Experience or training with Microsoft Office is desirable. If in recovery, the individual must have 3years clean and sober. Description of Duties 1. Must be capable of handling emergency situations. 2. Must make daily inspections of Residential Housing Facilities. 3. Supervise the making of bed charts and assist with the assignments of beds for the new clients including the preparation of bedding and residential needs for the client. 4. This position requires working with the Intake Coordinator closely. 5. Monitor the bed-check list to ensure accuracy 6. Ensure the medication storage needs are in order. 7. Supervise and check all supplies. 8. Keep medicines in proper order and monitor the dispensing of all medication and documentation in accordance with O'Brien House rules. This includes the proper disposing of medicines with the permission of clinical director/counselor 9. Assist in the observation and take urine screens as ordered on daily log and fill
- out all necessary paper work. Ensure all DC Staff complete this task properly. 10. Assist transportation services by driving clients to substance abuse meetings, hospital, meetings, etc. as needed. 11. Develop, maintain and supervise schedule of three direct care work shifts (12a

- 12a) with professional, competent and reliable desk personnel staff and two transportation work shifts (6a
- 2p & 2p
- 10p).
12. Ensure all Residential Housing Service Desk Areas are prepared for daily operations including supplies and equipment. 13. Ensure all Transportation shifts are prepared for daily operations including supplies and equipment. 14. Coordinate and conduct quarterly meetings with desk personnel staff to ensure unity of services and/or educational needs or training. Report meeting dates to the Clinical Director and Assistant Director. 15. Coordinate the supply and ordering of residential needs such as over-the-counter medicines, linen, clothing, and first aid supplies as needed. 16. Conduct and/or review daily bed checks of all residents. Complete warning and infraction write-up documentation for client and counselor review. 17. Assist in client discharge procedures to ensure all necessary exit check lists are complete, such as linen rentals, etc. 18. Ensure all in services and departmental trainings are complete as assigned and required by agency, local, state and federal guidelines for your staff. Obtain assistance from the In-Service Coordinator. 19. Ensure that facility and grounds inspections (walk-through) are done as required by State Licensing and CARF Standards. 20. Coordinate and make sure the overall cleanliness and order of the Residential Housing Services Department and residential areas are done by assigning chore lists for client assistance . You may seek assistance from clients as service work hours and community service workers to help with ensuring the overall cleanliness and order of the facilities and grounds are done. 21. Facilitate/co-facilitate group meetings as needed and complete documentation in a timely manner (thorough completion of sign-in sheets
- modality, topic, time/date, number of persons present in group, attachment of handouts, and signature; completing case notes and signing of weekly service delivery log): 22.
Ensure that client information is entered in
ENCOUNTER
WORKS and Weekly Client Service Logs in a timely and manner. 23. Available for Saturday and Holiday Rotation Schedule and for weekend meetings, staffing and trainings as scheduled. 24. Maintain paper products (toilet tissue and paper towels) throughout the facilities and grounds through daily checks and replenishment. Order products as needed. 25. Observe client behavior daily and report any problems or conflicts that may arise to the Clinical Director/Counselors, Executive Director and/or Assistant Director. 26. Follow the Rules and Regulations as stated in Employee Handbook and PPM. 27. Adhere to the Codes of Ethics. 28. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director, Executive Director and Assistant Director.
