Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Youth Service Program Director to lead and oversee our youth engagement initiatives. This position is responsible for the fiscal and operational management of Therapeutic Foster Care and Short-Term Respite. The Director will contribute to the organization's mission through demonstrated skills in program management and operations, budget development, accountability, personnel management, client advocacy, and public relations. Duties Lead and supervise program staff, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and effective team. Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, schools, families, and stakeholders to enhance program outreach and collaboration. Oversee daily program operations, ensuring activities are delivered effectively, safely, and in accordance with organizational policies. Manage program budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure resources are allocated efficiently to maximize impact. Coordinate administrative functions such as record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with funding requirements. Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation from diverse populations while maintaining a respectful and supportive atmosphere. Ensure staff are trained in trauma-informed care, behavioral management techniques, and cultural competency to serve youth effectively. Ability to prioritize work and meet multiple deadlines. Experience with Microsoft Office/Excel/database skills. Experience Bachelor's Degree in mental health/human services field and experience in the delivery services to at-risk children and adolescents is required. Proven management experience leading youth or community programs with demonstrated success in program development and implementation. Supervisory experience overseeing staff teams in social work or related fields is essential. Extensive background working with young people with developmental disabilities or behavioral health challenges. Strong relationship management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across organizations and community agencies. Administrative experience including budgeting, reporting, compliance monitoring, and resource allocation. Knowledge of social work principles, behavioral health practices, and trauma-informed care approaches. Experience in program management within nonprofit or government settings is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—to engage stakeholders at all levels effectively.
