• Part-time, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have experience in various maintenance tasks. This role involves performing routine maintenance, addressing urgent repair needs, and providing general support to ensure an safe and comfortable environment for tenants, as well as a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently while providing excellent customer service. 1. General Maintenance Perform routine inspections of property exteriors and interiors to identify and address maintenance needs. Repair and maintain plumbing systems, electrical wiring, and fixtures. Conduct carpentry work including but not limited to repairing doors, windows, and furniture. Handle painting, plastering, and drywall repairs. 2. Emergency Repairs Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and ensure issues are resolved swiftly and efficiently. Diagnose and troubleshoot problems in a timely manner to minimize disruptions. 3. Preventative Maintenance Implement preventative maintenance schedules for property systems and equipment. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of HVAC systems, boilers, and other mechanical systems. 4. Groundskeeping Maintain the property grounds, including lawn care, snow removal, and general landscaping. Ensure all walkways, driveways, and common areas are clean and free of debris. 5. Safety and Compliance Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Ensure all maintenance work complies with local building codes and regulations. 6. Inventory and Supplies Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment. Order necessary parts and materials to maintain stock levels. 7. Collaboration and Communication Work closely with the property management team to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks. Communicate effectively with tenants to provide updates on maintenance activities and address concerns.

Qualifications:

1. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role. Experience with a variety of hand and power tools. 2. Skills and Competencies Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. 3. Certifications Relevant certifications in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry are a plus. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Capability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods. Comfortable working in various weather conditions.

Working Conditions:

The role involves working both indoors and outdoors. Availability to respond to emergency maintenance requests during off-hours or weekends if required.
