To uphold the CFP philosophy and values of care; to assume responsibility for the daily operation of the site; to provide supervision to direct care staff; and to provide orientation for new client (regarding tasks such as: the routines , limits and house rules in conjunction with the house staff).

Program Director Duties and Responsibilities:
To provide a safe and nurturing home-like environment. To supervise and carry out the treatment and educational plans designed for each client. To assign the appropriate level of responsibilities and/or tasks to each client and Direct Care Counselor. To observe and evaluate each client in terms of their compliance with the rules of the program. To develop and monitor activities meeting the educational, recreational, physical and emotional needs of each client. To keep close contact with the client's families and monitor all family contact. To attend treatment planning conferences. To provide site leadership and encourage teamwork. To supervise and evaluate Direct Care Counselor performance and implement, when necessary, corrective action plans. To coordinate weekly staff meetings. To provide orientation and on site training for staff members. To create and submit weekly staff schedules to the appropriate administrative staff. To represent the program to visitors and outside agencies. To maintain and monitor agency standards for the physical site and to ensure that staff are familiar with the standards. To act as an advocate for the clients and the staff of the house. To provide weekly written records to the program office including logs, incident reports, menus, budget materials, home visit records, staff time sheets. To monitor, pay and control house expenses, primarily telephone bills and purchase of common objects. Participate in the on-call rotation.
Utilize Virtual Gateway Qualifications:
BS/BA in human services or related field and one-year prior experience working with either children or youth in a residential care setting Minimum of one-year of experience in a supervisory role. Education may be substituted for five or more years' experience with two years of supervision/management experience. MAP certification preferred; if not, must be certified within first three months.
Experience:
Good writing and documentation skills as well as organizational ability. Ability to manage staff. Must be culturally responsive and possess the ability to relate professionally to a wide range of clients and staff.
