Temp Upward Bound Summer Residential Supervisor Brandeis University - 4.4 Waltham, MA Job Details Full-time $25 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Management Residential life (student support initiatives) Live-in employment Full Job Description TRIO Upward Bound is a federally funded, year-round college access program that prepares students for success in higher education through tutoring, mentoring, and enrichment opportunities. The Brandeis University TRIO Upward Bound Program is seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Supervisor to lead and support a one-week summer residential program for low-income, first-generation, college-bound high school students from Waltham High School. This immersive, on-campus experience is part of a six-week summer program designed to provide students with academic enrichment, college readiness skills, and exposure to campus life. During the residential week, students will live in the dorms and participate in structured academic, social, and leadership programming. Position Overview The Residential Supervisor will live on campus and oversee Residential Mentors during the residential week. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth program operations, supporting staff coordination, and maintaining a safe, structured, and engaging environment for students. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support Residential Mentors throughout the program Assist with planning and coordinating the residential week Develop and distribute daily schedules to mentors Support mentor-student engagement and address interpersonal concerns Ensure consistent supervision of students during all activities Communicate staff and student concerns to the Program Director Support academic programming and workshops Assist with evening programming, including social and leadership activities Build positive relationships with students and staff while maintaining appropriate boundaries Support program setup and daily operations Other duties as assigned by the Program Director Minimum Qualifications Upper-level undergraduate student or recent graduate Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience Experience working with high school students or youth programs Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to supervise staff and students in a residential setting Commitment to supporting first-generation students Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Graduate student preferred Experience with TRIO programs
Program Dates Residential Week:
June 28 - July 3 Training Staff training will take place from June 22 - June 26 Compensation $25 per hour plus room and meals during the residential week.
