Lead Neighborhood Ambassador - Bester Community of Hope ENOUGH initiative • South End of Hagerstown, Maryland resident or in direct proximity required (out of area applicants will not be considered) Support our Neighborhood Partnership Coordinator in implementing vibrant, resident led activities to support the South End of Hagerstown be a neighborhood of choice for thriving families. South End efforts including but not limited to major investments in spaces and activities, safety & environmental improvements, arts & culture, neighborhood clean-up and other efforts related to belonging. Key skills needed include project management, and the ability to supervise part-time contractual Neighborhood Ambassadors and volunteers. Job Overview Join our team as a Lead Neighborhood Ambassador and become a vital catalyst for community engagement and positive change. In this dynamic role, you will lead efforts to foster strong neighborhood connections and support local programs that enhance community well-being. Your leadership will inspire volunteers, coordinate outreach activities, and serve as a trusted liaison between residents and community organizations. Responsibilities Lead recruitment, training, and supervision of neighborhood ambassadors and volunteers to ensure effective program delivery Develop and implement community outreach strategies to increase participation in social cohesion efforts Organize and facilitate neighborhood events, workshops, and informational sessions to promote community involvement Collect data on community needs, engagement levels, and program outcomes to inform ongoing improvements Collaborate with local organizations, schools, providers, and social service agencies to coordinate resources and support services Provide public speaking engagements at community meetings or events to communicate program goals and foster trust Requirements - This opportunity is specifically for residents of the South End of the City of Hagerstown, to ensure local needs are managed by local residents. Out of area applicants will not be considered. Proven experience in volunteer management, supervising teams or groups in a community setting Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively Knowledge of marketing strategies and social media management tools Ability to collect and analyze data related to community programs and outreach efforts Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate others and manage multiple projects simultaneously Administrative experience including recruiting volunteers, scheduling events, and maintaining records Excellent communication skills with a passion for serving diverse populations This paid role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to lead impactful community initiatives while honing their leadership and program development expertise.
