- A courteous, team-oriented staff culture Position Summary The Dormitory Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and structured residential environment that promotes student retention, satisfaction, and program completion.
This role supervises residential staff, manages daily dorm operations, and supports students through individualized case management in collaboration with counseling teams. Key Responsibilities Student Support & Residential Leadership Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive dorm environment Provide individualized case management to support student retention and success Build positive mentoring relationships with students Ensure student behavior aligns with program expectations Participate in case management and student success teams Model Career Success Standards in accordance with PRH guidelines Staff Supervision & Operations Supervise, schedule, and support Residential Advisors and dorm staff Coordinate staff coverage and maintain substitute staffing coverage Hire, evaluate, discipline, and recommend termination of staff as needed Provide training, coaching, and ongoing staff development Ensure compliance with break requirements and performance standards Oversee daily operations, safety, and security of residential areas Manage inventory, supplies, and maintenance requests Ensure timely and accurate incident and shift reporting Communication & Program Support Communicate clearly with students, staff, and leadership Provide timely reports to internal and external stakeholders (including DOL/Company partners) Collaborate across departments to support student success services Support student leadership programs and community engagement efforts Respond quickly to student and staff concerns and ensure resolution Accept direction from leadership and perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required Minimum of two (2) years of experience in counseling or a related field required Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with or mentoring youth and young adults required Previous Job Corps or similar program experience preferred Valid in-state driver's license preferred Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, lift, push, pull, reach, stoop, and crouch as needed Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds Must be able to assess lifting demands and request assistance when necessary "Adams and Associates, Inc. abides by the requirements of 41 CFR §§ 60-1.4(a), 60-300.5(a) and 60-741.5(a).
