AM Saturday:

Position Overview Join the Juan And Sam team as a Weekend Community Director & Direct Support Operations Specialist, where your leadership, compassion, and creativity will help create meaningful opportunities for an adult individual with developmental disabilities. This dynamic role combines direct support, community engagement, program coordination, and operational leadership. The successful candidate will oversee weekend programming, coordinate community-based activities, promote independence, and provide hands-on support while maintaining a safe, structured, and engaging environment. This position is ideal for a highly motivated professional who enjoys building relationships, encouraging personal growth, exploring community resources, and creating enriching experiences that improve quality of life. Essential Position Requirements This is an essential position requiring exceptional reliability and flexibility.
The selected contractor must:
Maintain 24/7 on-call availability for program-related emergencies. Be available beyond scheduled hours when necessary. Accept mandated overtime and additional coverage assignments when staffing shortages occur. Report to work during emergencies and critical staffing situations. Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and sound judgment. Work independently while effectively collaborating with team members and stakeholders. Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure continuity of services. Leadership & Community Program Responsibilities Lead and coordinate weekend community-based programs and activities. Develop engaging schedules that promote independence, socialization, recreation, fitness, and personal development. Identify and coordinate meaningful community opportunities and experiences. Foster positive relationships with participants, families, support staff, and community partners. Assess participant interests and needs to create individualized activity plans. Support behavioral health goals through person-centered planning and positive reinforcement. Monitor program effectiveness and make recommendations for continuous improvement. Ensure all activities are safe, inclusive, and aligned with individual support goals. Direct Support Responsibilities Provide direct, hands-on support in residential and community settings. Assist with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, communication, and self-advocacy. Encourage increased independence and skill development according to treatment plan goals. Transport the individual to appointments, recreational activities, and community outings. Actively participate in community engagement activities and social opportunities. Teach appropriate replacement behaviors and support positive behavioral outcomes. Maintain awareness of seizure-related concerns and provide appropriate support when necessary. Ensure a clean, organized, and safe living environment. Operations & Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate daily documentation, shift notes, and incident reports. Ensure compliance with program standards, safety protocols, and organizational expectations. Assist with scheduling, activity planning, and resource coordination. Communicate effectively with team members regarding client needs and program updates. Support operational continuity and maintain high-quality service delivery. QualificationsRequired Minimum of 5 years of caregiving experience. Minimum of 6 years of consistent, relevant professional experience. Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with developmental and neurodevelopmental disabilities. Experience supporting individuals with seizure disorders. Prior supervisory, leadership, or management experience. Strong background in behavioral health, social services, community programming, or related fields. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Clean criminal background check. Current CPR/AED Certification. Current First Aid Certification. Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Certification required or ability to obtain within 90 days. Physical ability to participate in community activities and provide hands-on support.
