Assistant Property Manager Towson, MD 21286 $25.81 - $32.00 an hour - Full-time $25.81 - $32.00 an hour - Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our dynamic property management team. In this vital role, you will support the overall operations of residential or commercial properties, ensuring exceptional tenant experiences, efficient administrative processes, and compliance with relevant regulations. Your energetic approach will help foster positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and team members while maintaining the property's value and reputation. Duties Assist in managing daily property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination Support lease administration processes such as renewals, move-ins, move-outs, and lease documentation using property management software like Yardi or OneSite Handle tenant inquiries promptly via phone and email, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues efficiently Maintain accurate records related to LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8 programs, Fair Housing regulations, and legal compliance Conduct property inspections, coordinate repairs and maintenance requests through facilities management systems like CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) Assist in marketing efforts by upselling available units or amenities to prospective tenants and supporting property leasing activities Manage administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, legal documentation review related to landlord-tenant law and contracts, and maintaining organized office records Support conflict management efforts by mediating tenant concerns professionally while adhering to Fair Housing laws and policies Qualifications Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with familiarity in property leasing and customer relationship management Knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing policies, landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and legal administrative procedures Proficiency with Yardi, OneSite or similar property management software; experience with Office applications is preferred Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry, filing, and recordkeeping Excellent phone etiquette coupled with effective negotiation skills for upselling units or resolving tenant issues Ability to manage conflict professionally while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations Prior experience in facilities management or property maintenance coordination is a plus
