Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Leasing and Sales Intern, where you will gain hands-on experience in property leasing, sales strategies, and property management operations. This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in real estate administration, customer service, and negotiation within a fast-paced, supportive environment. You will assist with leasing processes, client relations, and administrative tasks while learning the ins and outs of property management compliance and sales techniques. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to build a foundation in real estate and property leasing. Responsibilities Support the leasing team by assisting with property tours, applicant screenings, and lease negotiations to ensure smooth tenant onboarding Maintain accurate data entry and filing of lease agreements, contracts, and legal documents using Yardi or OneSite property management software Assist in managing tenant relations by responding to inquiries via phone or email with professionalism and courtesy Help coordinate property maintenance requests and facilitate communication between tenants and facilities management teams Conduct research on Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and landlord-tenant law to ensure compliance Support the preparation of legal administrative documents, lease contracts, and renewal notices while adhering to legal standards Participate in conflict management efforts by addressing tenant concerns promptly and professionally while upholding company policies Experience Previous office or administrative experience preferred, especially within property management or real estate sectors Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite is highly desirable Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 housing programs, LIHTC compliance, and landlord-tenant law is a plus Strong customer service skills with excellent phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities Experience in sales or upselling techniques that enhance tenant engagement and lease conversions Basic understanding of contracts, legal documentation, and facilities management practices Demonstrated ability to handle data entry accurately, manage filing systems efficiently, and maintain organized records This internship is designed to empower aspiring professionals with practical experience in leasing operations, legal compliance, customer relationship management, and property administration.
