Job Description

Communities First, Inc. is a Flint-based nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents in distressed communities. Our mission focuses on economic development and providing affordable housing solutions that empower individuals and families. Summary We are seeking a Community Manager to join our team at Communities First, Inc. This role is pivotal in fostering community engagement and ensuring the effective management of our housing initiatives. The Community Manager will play a key role in promoting our mission and enhancing the lives of those we serve. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations of community programs and initiatives. Engage with residents to build strong relationships and foster community involvement. Oversee property management tasks, including maintenance coordination and tenant relations. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other relevant policies. Utilize OneSite for administrative tasks related to property management. Conduct outreach efforts to promote available housing solutions and resources. Assist in negotiating leases and agreements with prospective tenants. Requirements Proven experience in community management or a related field, preferably within a nonprofit setting. Strong administrative skills with attention to detail. Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations is essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to engage effectively with diverse populations and build rapport within the community. Experience with property management software such as OneSite is a plus.
