Job Description

Eighty-Six West Asset Management is seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of both our commercial real estate portfolio and short-term rental (STR) program. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities, and is comfortable working across both tenant-facing commercial assets and guest-driven hospitality operations. The Assistant Property Manager will work closely with the Operations and Accounting team to ensure properties are well-managed, tenants and guests are supported, and internal processes run efficiently. Key Responsibilities Commercial Property Management
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for tenant requests and communications
  • Coordinate and track maintenance requests, vendor scheduling, and follow-ups
  • Assist with lease administration, renewals, and document organization
  • Support property inspections and ensure compliance with lease terms
  • Coordinate utility transfers and service setups for new tenants
  • Assist in managing vendor relationships, bids, and service contracts
  • Track and follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely resolution Short-Term Rental (STR) Operations
  • Assist with guest communication, including inquiries, check-in/out coordination, and issue resolution
  • Coordinate cleaning schedules and turnovers to ensure readiness between bookings
  • Monitor property condition and escalate maintenance needs
  • Support calendar management and booking coordination across platforms
  • Assist in maintaining high guest satisfaction and review performance
  • Ensure properties are properly stocked, maintained, and guest-ready Operations & Administrative Support
  • Coordinate between operations and accounting for invoices, approvals, and tracking
  • Assist with processing and coding invoices and expenses
  • Maintain organized digital records, property files, and documentation
  • Support preparation of owner reports and property summaries
  • Help implement and improve internal systems and processes
  • Track recurring tasks, inspections, and compliance items Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in property management, real estate, hospitality, or related field preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Comfortable working with property management software and digital tools
